Taegeuk EE Jang symbolizes the "Tae", one of the 8 divination signs. Tae signifies inner firmness and outer softness. Olgul jireugi is used for the first time in this Taegeuk poomsae and apchagi appears more frequently than in Taegeuk IL Jang. This poomsae is practiced by 7th Kup-grade trainees and above.
Starting with your feet together and your hands by your side open the hands whilst simultaneously lifting them to your solar plexus, then lowering and closing the fists to groin level . At the same time the feet are seperated to a shoulders width into naranhi seogi. These movements are all executed at the same time finishing in kibon jumbi seogi (basic ready stance).
Turn to the left through 90 degrees moving the left foot into wen apseogi (left walking stance) and execute an arae makki (low section block)
Step forward with the right foot into oreun apkubi (right long stance), and execute a momtong bandae jireugi (opposite mid-section punch) to the solar plexus
Turn to the right through 180 degrees moving the right foot first into oreun apseogi (right walking stance) and execute an arae makki (low section block)
Step forward with the left foot into wen apseogi (left walking stance), and execute a momtong bandae jireugi (opposite mid-section punch) to the solar plexus
Moving the left foot first turn to the left through 90 degrees into wen apseogi (left walking stance), and execute an oreon momtong anmakki (right mid-section inner block)
Step forward with the right foot into oreon apseogi (right walking stance), and execute a wen momtong anmakki (left mid-section inner block)
Keeping the left hand in the blocking position (wen momtong anmakki) from the previous movement move the left foot to the left through 90 degrees into wen ap seogi (left walking stance), and execute a wen arae makki (left outer forearm low block)
execute an oreunbal apchagi (right front kick). As soon as the kicking foot touches the floor in oreun apkubi (right front stance) deliver an olgul bandae jireugi (High section front punch)
Move the right foot to the right through 180 degrees into oreon ap seogi (right walking stance), and execute an oreon arae makki (right low section block)
execute a wenbal apchagi (left front kick). As soon as the kicking foot touches the floor in wen apkubi (left front stance) deliver an olgul bandae jireugi (High section front punch)
move the left foot to the left through 90 degrees into wen apseogi (left walking stance) and execute a wen olgul makki (left high section block).
Step forward with the right foot into oreun apseogi (right forward stance), and execute an oreun olgul makki (right high section block).
Turn the left foot to the left to turn through 270 degrees anticloskwise into wen apseogi (left walking stance) and execute an oreun momtong anmakki (right mid-section inner block)
Step the right foot a little whilst turning to the right through 180 degrees to change direction into oreun apseogi (right walking stance) and execute a wen momtong anmakki (left mid-section inner block)
moving the left foot first turn to the left into wen apseogi (left walking stance), and execute an wen araemakki (left low section block),
deliver an oreunbal apchagi (right front kick). As soon as the foot touches the ground in oreun apseogi (right walking stance) deliver an oreun momtong bandaejireugi (right mid-section front punch) to the solar plexus
deliver an wenbal apchagi (left front kick). As soon as the foot touches the ground in wen apseogi (left walking stance) deliver a wen momtong bandaejireugi (left mid-section front punch) to the solar plexus
deliver an oreunbal apchagi (right front kick). As soon as the foot touches the ground in oreun apseogi (right walking stance) deliver an oreun momtong bandaejireugi (right mid-section front punch) to the solar plexus. On delivering the punch shout KIHAP using the gut as the source of energy.
