Since first learning the woodendummy form in Hong Kong at the Wing Tsun Athletic Association under the guidance of Yip Chin I have found practicing all techniques on the dummy a perfect way to develope distance, structure etc. Developing the wooden dummy as a modern martial arts training device, whilst also designing alternative devices to aid training has been irreplaceable in the development of all aspects of my martial arts training

Wooden Dragon Martial Art Gwoon is the first of it's kind in the region. Wing Tai Ch'uan Gung Fu is a new martial art for the Millenium, developed by Sijo Garry Allsopp in 1997 and endorsed by Martial Arts All Styles (MAAS). Wing Tai Ch'uan is a combination of the essences and principles of two Chinese martial arts; namely Tai Chi Ch'uan and Wing Chun. The rooting of Wing Tai Ch'uan is Tai Chi as this develops through Chi Gungs the soft but strong internal Chi Energy, necessary to strengthen the internal body. The woodendummy is an essential part of our training from developing punching power to flowing with the spring arms to perfecting angle and structure.

Martial arts should always be developing and growing with each generation of practitioner. It is easy to forget that the training tools must also develop just as much as the arts we train. The Wing Chun Wooden Dummy is the No 1 training tool for all Wing Chun practitioners. What 'woodendummy Ltd' have done is they have bought the wooden dummy into the present day with updated uses of this great training tool.

Twice world silver and bronze medallist, twice European champion, and World Games bronze in addition to ten national titles, Grandmaster Lawrence is a very experienced and accomplished martial artist.
Inspired by the Kung-fu movies of the seventies, Grandmaster Lawrence began Taekwondo in a local hall under the instruction of Grandmaster Frederick Lee. Just over a year later Grandmaster Lawrence had achieved his blackbelt and soon after had been entered into the European championships. Knowing little more than the basics, Grandmaster Lawrence learnt fast, observing the other competitors in the days leading up to his first ever competition. From that point there was no looking back with Grandmaster Lee guiding his protégé into more international competitions and even some filming in Hong Kong.
Grandmaster Lawrence would recommend the products designed and made by woodendummy to all of his students.

Master Dean Gibbs has taken part in many international competitions at home and oveseas. He is a very creative fighter with an indepth knowledge of both Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do that he shares with both his students and opponents in the ring - although his opponents might not welcome this sharing of knowledge as much as his students.
Master Gibbs is currently teaching in Croydon and the surrounding areas and welcomes any new blood that might want to venture into his Dojang and learn the ancient martial arts of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.
He has pleasure in recommending all of the products found on the woodenduumy site
